First it was an alliance with domain juggernaught, Network Solutions that reforged the expired domain drop market....Now BulkRegister has just entered the fray......
"Dear SnapNames Customer:
BulkRegister®, another of the world's largest domain name registrars, has joined with SnapNames to give you the first shot at the most valuable expiring domain names.
You simply place back-orders on the domain names you want, with no up-front fee. Domain names at BulkRegister will be made available to you before they are available anywhere else. This means less waiting time and a much higher chance to get your name if it becomes available.
SnapNames provides preferred access to more premium domain names than any other service."
So in a nutshell, BulkRegister domains in the expiration cycle will be exclusively auctioned via SnapNames......much like the current platform employed between subsidiaries NameWinner and Dotster.
Here I thought ICANN's EDP was supposed to put an end to these type of backorder mergers........it'll be interesting to see what the market is like once enom and Godaddy start auctioning their own war chest......get your platinum credit cards ready and let the races begin! Oi Vey?!?
